You'll sometimes see the Energy Star logo on your monitor or computer. This means the product has been designed to save electricity when it's switched on but has not been used for a while. Many computers will shut off the disk drives after five minutes of inactivity to save electricity. Energy Star is a good thing since it saves electricity.
